Bubble Bar Testing!

Posted by Leeana O'Cain

I have been so fascinated with bubble bars lately! I could look though pictures of them on Instagram and watch videos of them on YouTube for hours. I have so many ideas and designs for them that I have been wanting to test out. I was so shocked when my husband got me a bubble bar kit for Christmas. I could hardly wait to test them out. It came with everything I needed!

The kit included:

     • (1) 1 lb - Lathanol LAL Powder
     • (11) 1 Piece - Premium Crystal Cello Bags (2.5" x 2" x 6")
     • (1) 0.125 lb (2 fl. oz) - Vanilla Bean Fragrance Oil 240
     • (1) 0.125 lb (2 oz) - Vanilla Color Stabilizer
     • (2) 0.125 lb (2 oz) - Cornstarch - Pure
     • (2) 0.125 lb (2 oz) - Bubble Bar Hardener
     • (1) 1 lb - Glycerin - Natural
     • (1) 1 Piece - Beaker - Natural Polypropylene
     • (1) 0.125 lb (2 oz) - Castor Oil
     • (1) 0.03 Pack (1/2 oz) - Natural Raffia
     • (1) 0.125 lb (2 oz) - Poppy Seeds
     • (1) 1 lb - Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
     • (2) 1 Piece - Droppers - Plastic
     • (1) 1 Piece - Instruction Sheet
     • (1) 1 Piece - Mask - Basic Procedures
     • (1) 2 Piece - Gloves Vinyl (Medium) - Low Powder
     • (1) 1 Each - Hairnets - 21 inch Disposable
     • (1) 1 Piece - Scoop - 0.15 ml (Micro Size)

These items were not included but were required:

     • (1) Measuring Cup / Mixing Bowl
     • (1) Measuring Spoons
     • (1) Wire Whisk
     • (1) Measuring Spoons
     • (1) Knife

I started out mixing all of the dry ingredients.

(Side Note: Yes! I am wearing 2 Fitbits. That is because I was constantly telling my husband that his is broken and counting more steps then mine. ;) He let me wear it one day to prove a point!)

Now it is time to mix the wet ingredients!

Don't forget the vanilla bean fragrance.

After adding the wet ingredients I topped the mixture with poppy seeds and started blending everything together.

They came out so cute! I molded them into a marshmallow shape. I can't wait for them to dry so I can use one. If you want to make your own bubble bars you can find the kit at Wholesale Supplies Plus or keep an eye out for them on our website very soon!
